This is Conway Wigg's blog. The Future of Spin focuses on issues surrounding political communication and participation in democractic life at a local level, particularly by young people. The blog was set up as part of an MA course in Public Communication & PR at the University of Westminster and then followed my research on the London Borough of Hackney. I have now completed the course, obtaining a Distinstion. I am now in the process of posting the text of my dissertation.

Short Biography
My name is Conway Wigg. I was born in Malta in 1976 and over the past thirty years I've divided my time almost equally between there and London. I am currently studying for an MA in Public Communication & PR at the
University of Westminster. I am also doing some part time PR work in London.
Before that I worked in PR in Malta for seven years, mainly in corporate PR and financial PR. I've also got some experience of event management.
Other stuff I’ve done includes some travelling in North and Central America as well as Europe, the odd bit of freelance journalism, a stint volunteering with Young Enterprise, and when I really feel like punishing myself I keep the family tradition of going to watch West Ham United. Biggest interest I would say is modern political history.
